Thanks for bringing back treasured memories with my kids, Neela. I watched this movie years ago, but now I want to watch it again after reading your article. Here's to deep (pun intended) bonds of friendship, Neels.
👉A compelling case study that fulfillment isn't something you magically obtain, but what you gather, chunk by precious chunk, one day (or eccentric fish friend) at a time?👈 Moving through the moments to appreciate each one. I heard a saying that really stuck with me: I want to be able to go where I want, when I want, with the people I want to spend time with, doing what I want to do. It's a choice to celebrate and be intentional about that journey. Thank you Neela.
I love this movie, Neela! Watched it several times. lol There are lessons to be learned if we pay attention and listen to them. and just as you said, you don't magically obtain that fulfillment. It's through the experiences we go through where we pick up those pieces (chunks) and carry them over into our next chapter in life.
Beautiful article! Thank you for sharing with me. :)
For a start I think I would probably vote for this as the best named substack I have seen - genius! More so love this tale of Nemo and the quote "It seems all is truly lost until Dory's mantra of "Just keep swimming" inadvertently imparts the most elemental wisdom of all - that focusing on exhaustively repetitive physical actions is somehow the key to inner peace." is SO SO true. Thanks for writing I just subscribed.
Ohhh - This makes me so happy. There is a story this name. Basically in 2018, my friend and I came up with this name while hanging out sipping errrrrr "coffee" in Central Park. I registered the domain name in 2019. You made my day. Thank you for the amazing feedback and for subscribing :)

I watch the movie every year along with "Rio."
I always notice something new every single time.
Thank you for taking the time Shams.

Absolutely Chason.
I love that saying by the way.
I feel like we (myself included) is sometimes so focused on the destination. I always need reminders to slap me back into reality.
Thank you for taking the time Chason.
I may not find Nemo but I do see community in the comments and that is the journey
I am so grateful for these people and for you David.
So many lessons in such an entertaining film. When we open our eyes, there are learnings all around us aren't there!
We can glean lessons from everything around us.
Thank you for taking the time bro.

Finding Nemo and Rio are my favorites and I always revisit them every year.
Thank you for taking the time to read and to re-share.
I really appreciate the support.
It nudges me forward.
Love yah sis .
I don't think it's too whimsical! I bet you're right, and that the writers did think about all of this.
Even if they didn't, the nostalgia and whimsy is enough to rewatch it 😉
Oh thank you for the shout-out again Neela!! Just seen it at the bottom 🙏🏻
It's a permanent fixture now - for when I get to semi stardom lol
I love rewatching this and Rio.
I will write about Rio some other time lmao.
Thank you for taking the time Nadine.

I must get some of that ‘coffee’ 😂
Crush has always been my favorite character haha!
As for what to do when the sea weariness hits-- that's why we have espresso Neela :)
Ahhhh - Espresso - Now you're speaking my language Daniel.
Hope you are doing well?
Yes I am thanks for asking!
